I arrived to Presby CCU to find Mommy still in bed….and only because Physical Therapy was coming to help her become more MOBILE ! She spent a good 30 minutes learning about steps to becoming more adapted to Her HOME environment! YAY!
Her specialists have determined that she should soon be moving to a step down unit on 5th floor! Visitors spent the morning visiting, and laughing! What beautiful music to my ears! She’s up in the recliner eating lunch and drinking her favorite Diet Coke as I compose and post this! Moving towards increasing Independence! Not as foggy, and interacting with friends and family appropriately! Thankful to the medical staff and the Great Physician!

Thanks for taking time to share all the news about your mom, Brian, and for helping the rest of us know just how to pray for her. I was your mom’s roommate during the time she spent in PNG in 1990 … please let her know I’ve been thinking of her every day for over a month – now I know why the Lord kept bringing her to my mind; to pray for her! I’ll be sending her a card in the mail, but please give her a hug for me and let her know we are praying for her – that the Lord would bring physical healing and restore her strength and that He would continue to be glorified through her.
I remember when, prior to Diet Coke being developed, they pulled her then-favorite TAB off the market. She bought out store supplies and had flat after flat squirrelled away. I think her current favorite is a vast improvement over that nasty stuff.
