Security is an important concern here in Costa Rica. It’s not that there are bandits around every corner, but valuables left unattended are not likely to remain where they should be. So anytime a vehicle breaks down on the road, it must be guarded. That doesn’t mean the work has to be onerous though, as demonstrated by this enterprising man taking advantage of the shade and shelter from the rain using an old sheet, some rope and some very dark sunglasses.
